Restaurant reservation & order texts

Sent by Simply Semantics. Customer care only, no marketing. Last updated October 27, 2026.

Simply Semantics runs a reservation and ordering service (phone host, text messaging, and web) that independent restaurants use to take table reservations and pickup orders. When you book a table or place an order through the Simply Semantics service, Simply Semantics sends the related text messages. Every message begins with “Simply Semantics:”. The restaurant’s name (for example, Crossroads Sports Bar in Southington, CT) appears only to tell you which venue your reservation or order is for. Restaurants do not send their own messages or marketing through this program.

What we send

We do not send advertising or promotions on this program, and we never buy or import phone lists.

How you opt in

  1. Text us first: text a Simply Semantics reservation or order number (shown by the restaurant) to ask about a table or an order. Our first reply confirms that you are subscribed and tells you how to get help or opt out.
  2. On a call: when you call a restaurant that uses Simply Semantics to book or order, the Simply Semantics host may offer to text you a confirmation or update. Say yes only if you want texts.
  3. On this page: read the disclosure below and check the SMS consent box. The box is not pre-checked.

Consent to receive texts is not a condition of making a reservation or placing an order.
